On March 29, 2008 I gave a workshop on how to draw the face free-hand. This is my completed demo portrait.
Plein air painting is glorious on a Spring day! The vineyards had wild mustard growing in between the rows and everything was vibrant. Robert Young Winery is located in the Alexander Valley in Sonoma County, Northern California.
Here is another commission painted in watercolor from a photo taken in a dark car with a cell phone. Keaton had a great time at a festival and had her face painted and was H-A-P-P-Y! The bright pinks and oranges were true.
Jen’s Vineyard was a commissioned oil painting. The view is from the Alexander Valley in Sonoma County and was painted from a combination of several photographs collaged together to get just the right look.
Alexander Poppies is not the name of a type of poppy, its where the poppies were growing, -in Alexander Valley (a great wine appellation and very beautiful). I am posting this for a fellow blogger and artist who likes fences. Here’s to you, bj.
