Observance from October’s first rain

November 29th, 2011 § Leave a Comment

The rain taps in torrids
while the eaves spill in trickles.
The gusts of wind sway
the tree’s low hanging boughs.
Each leaf flutters
as the drops find fall upon them.
The rose, gorged with water
stretches out in all directions.
The worms seek shelter in the light
to escape a dark, drenching plight.
